I have not forgotten about this blog. I have just been unable to attend to it. I don't want it to die. This is my first attempt to breath life into it in over a month.
Most of you know that my family and I have once again been going through some big changes. It is hard for me to imagine that anyone reading this is not aware that we have moved. But, in case someone just happens upon this post, I will iterate: I have accepted the call of First Baptist Church, Bevil Oaks, Texas to become their pastor. My first official day on the job was to be this past Sunday, Aug. 31, but we had to evacuate the Beaumont area because of Hurricane Gustov (Watch for future blog). We have been living in a rented house out in the boonies (Another future blog). We have not had regular access to the Internet or newspapers, or next-door neighbors actually (I smell another blog). We have been trying to buy a house (Yep, blog); this experience is totally new to us. The children have had to assimilate into new schools (Can press out another blog here). We have to learn how to get around and find life's necessities, like Blue-Bell ice cream, in an unfamiliar territory(blog). So, all in all... things are going great. God is blessing us every day.
If you say "blog" twice, real fast, it simulates the sound of the human heart beating. Maybe this message is the electric-shock needed to get this mission of words going again. Say it twice, and breath a prayer for us.

Welcome to Texas! It's hurricane season. Might as well keep everything packed up until November...you never know when one just might be headed our way and you would ahead of the game. As for the ice cream...go straight down Highway 105 E until you get to Highway 69. There is a Market Basket on the corner waiting for you with a plethora of Blue Bell!
Homemade Vanilla mixed with peanut butter is delicious! Welcome to Bevil Oaks. I dropped in and heard you minister. Great job. The Lord has brought you to this church for this season in your life. Blessings to you and your family.
